New boxes for our CSA shares

Dan has designed and made natural wood boxes for each CSA shareholder.

With the good weather, we have enlisted the help of our grandchildren and planted all the vegetable starts from our greenhouse. Here, Colton and Clay help plant the peppers. A couple days ago, Jaime Lyn and Brie Ella helped plant 750 tomato plants. What a team!

Plants are growing

The weather is a bit cool but the plants have a good start in the greenhouse. We actually planted in the field this week and hopefully can get more planted out this weekend.

Welcome to our farm!

Are you looking for healthy produce for your family? We're growing a beautiful variety of vegetables. Our CSA is now open for 30 families to join! Beginning May 30th your family can come to our farm and pick up a basket full of freshly picked produce.

CSA Details:

FARMING PRACTICES: We do not use any pesticides or herbicides. We use compost, compost tea, soft rock phosphate, lime and other biological additives that are consistent with sustainable farming practices. We drip irrigate and plant grass between the rows to conserve water.

DATES: June 4 through November 1

Share boxes come in two sizes: A box for a family of two costing $20 a week and a box for a family of four or more for $25 a week, paid on a monthly basis.

$50 deposit to reserve your share plus $100/80 for the first month is due at sign up. (first check $150/130) The $5o deposit will be deducted off the last month.

PICK-UP: Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 11 and 1pm. Select the day of the week that works best for you at sign up. Evening pickup by special arrangement. Home delivery in the Gresham and Sandy area for additional charge.

WHAT YOU'LL GET: In June we will start with a variety of lettuces, pea pods, spinach, kale, green onions, and other cool weather crops like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and swiss chard. In July we will expand the selection of veggies as the summer progresses to include beans, beets, carrots, summer squash, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and herbs like cilantro, basil and parsley. Late summer and fall we will add corn, several varieties of squash, pumpkins and potatoes. Each week will be different and we will include cut flowers and/or berries as they become available.
